Kalahari Sunset
I have been doing my best to spend at least an hour each day going through my photos and finally working on organizing and rating them. It may sound boring to some, but I absolutely love it.
I spent the evening going through photos from the Kalahari Desert, and kept coming back to this sunset photo. The colours make me smile, so I thought I would share.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Half and Half
This weeks WordPress photo challenge is half and half, and the first thing I thought of was all the sunset photos I took during an Okavango Delta sundowner cruise. We stopped the boat in a tiny bay, and had a beautiful view of this small island with the sun setting behind it.

Beautiful evening
After the pea soup fog the last few days, where I could barely see across the road, it was lovely to see the sky clear today. Even lovelier was the sunset, with the sky like a painting.

Nature – Close to Home
I’m currently taking another digital photography course, so I have been busy the last few weeks snapping photos to meet very specific parameters. I was happy as the assignment this week was for landscape photos, both natural and urban.
I don’t yet have a macro lens, but I do really like the results of the close ups shown below – even though they really make me feel as if fall is on the way.
On a larger scale, I captured this lovely sunset near an area where I normally walk Spencer. I often see ducks, geese, heron and the occasional hawk and bald eagle in the area, as well as coyotes if we head out early enough.
